Religious Discrimination Bill Positive Step for Christian Schools

AACS have been involved in productive meetings with the Attorney General and her office about the progress of the Religious Discrimination Bill.

We have advocated for a consistent law for the whole nation that makes it clear that faith-based schools are allowed to employ staff who agree to affirm, uphold and teach their values and beliefs.

We have been calling upon both sides of Parliament to provide bipartisan support to this Bill and look forward seeing the Government deliver on its election commitment to people of faith who have been waiting patiently for this important reform. 

AACS firmly believes these legal protections are vitally important in a society that is increasingly ambivalent towards people of faith having the freedom to practice their religion.
