AACS Executive Officer Vanessa Cheng recently took part in a Round Table discussion with Federal Labor Member for Solomon, Luke Gosling. The event was hosted by Independent Schools Australia (ISA) and the Australian Independent Schools Northern Territory (AISNT).  Also in attendance was AACS Member School representative Michael Tooler, Principal of Sattler Christian School and AISNT Board Chair.

During the discussion, school leaders and principals shared key priorities, including the critical need for support of Indigenous boarding programs, the importance of equitable access to teacher scholarships for independent schools, the necessity of capital grants for schools in need, and the deeply held value of school choice among families. Many spoke to the significant financial sacrifices parents are making to ensure their children receive a quality education.
