Parliamentary Friends of Religious Schools and Faith Communities Event

A Voice for Christian Education

Parliamentary Friends of Religious Schools and Faith Communities Event

It was a packed event at the second Parliamentary Friends of Religious Schools and Faith Communities gathering this week. Over thirty Senators and MPs attended along with key leaders of religious schools associations.

Hon. Dr Andrew Leigh, Assistant Minister for Competition, Charities and Treasury, Assistant Minister for Employment and Member for Fenner spoke on the role of Faith in Action, followed by an encouraging panel discussion lead by Senator Deborah O'Neill on the important role that religious schools and faith communities play in providing outreach, charity and essential services to Australians in need.  Thank you also to co-chair Julian Leeser for his encouraging closing remarks.

The lovely words and support of our recent Faith in the Future Town Hall events by those who attended was very appreciated.

Hon Dr Andrew Leigh
